Large Sports Halls are notoriously difficult acoustic environments and this one at Lincoln was no exception, measuring some 50m x 40m x10m with the usual hard reflected surfaces. The cabinet shown is one we designed for smaller stadia which still had a requirement for music capability at moderate sound pressure levels and have often been used in spaces such as the one illustrated here.
This cabinet features good directivity control from the mid-band upwards, this is essential when addressing the problems of poor acoustics and maintaining coverage only where required.
